The Room That Sparked Joy

My Beautiful Souls 💛 Today, I felt led to share something a little more personal, a simple story straight from my everyday life. No big lessons or fancy reflections, just a real moment that reminded me how God often speaks through the small things. As I walk this journey of motherhood and faith, I’ve learned that sometimes the most meaningful growth comes quietly, right in the middle of our daily routines. My hope is that this glimpse into my week encourages your heart too. “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”— Isaiah 40:31 (NIV) Let this be your gentle reminder, My Beautiful Souls, when your heart feels tired or your steps feel heavy, God is already renewing your strength through hope. Just keep walking with Him; your wings will rise again.

A Simple Act of Love That Changed My Week This week didn’t go quite as planned. I had good intentions, but life just… happened. I didn’t get much done on my projects, and my energy was all over the place. The gym? Let’s just say my running shoes got a mini vacation. I kept thinking, “What’s going on with me?” I wanted to stay focused, but my heart felt a little tired. Then Friday came, and with it, a spark of inspiration.

I decided to pour what little energy I had into something that mattered to me: creating a beautiful space for my daughter. Her birthday is Sunday, tomorrow! But I wanted her surprise ready early. So, on Friday, November 7th, I spent the day finalizing her new bedroom, every little detail chosen to reflect her joyful spirit and warm personality. And honestly? Watching her face light up when she walked in and saw it… that moment did something in me.

As I stood there, taking it all in, her smile, the glow in her eyes, the peace that filled the room, I felt something shift inside me. I realized something simple but powerful: Sometimes, when we pour love into others, God quietly refills what’s been running empty in us. Here is a little glimpse...✨

Motherhood is a constant dance between exhaustion and gratitude. There are days I give everything I have, only to feel like it’s not enough. But that smile on her face reminded me that joy doesn’t always come from accomplishing big things. Sometimes, it’s found in the small, sacred moments where love shows up in action.

That room wasn’t just a gift for my daughter. It was a gentle reminder from God that purpose isn’t always about productivity. It’s also about presence.

Maybe you’ve had a slow or messy week too. Maybe you’ve been doubting yourself, wondering if you’re doing enough. My encouragement for you today is this: look for the small moments where love leads. Because joy often hides there, in the quiet spaces where you give, care, and simply show up.

Even when life feels off track, God has this beautiful way of realigning our hearts through love, through our families, through the people we serve, and sometimes, through something as simple as a freshly decorated bedroom.

Keep going, My Beautiful Souls. You’re doing better than you think. And even in the mess, God is still at work, shaping joy, purpose, and peace right where you are.

With love and grace,

Laurie B.

Great words Bella! It's so damb true. Joy doesn't always come from huge accomplishments, it can often be found in other areas or different situations in your life without even knowing its happening. Taking a step back and being present in the moment can help you realize how blessed you are. Personally, I am working on myself not to worry so much about little things. I have found ways to help me cope and deal with obstacles and financial hiccups. When you think you can start saving some money, another financial set back hits you! When you think you can pay off some credit cards, another urgent issue arrives. Happens to everyone. Prayers help.

You did a great job Bella…
