“Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” — 3 John 1:2 (NIV)“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.” — 1 Corinthians 6:19 (NIV)
My Beautiful Souls 💛
This week, I made a decision that I’ve made many times before, but this time, something shifted. I decided to take my health seriously, not out of guilt or pressure, but out of obedience. In the past, I would set fitness goals, start strong, and slowly lose consistency as excuses took over. But this time, I’ve placed this journey, my habits, my motivation, and my mindset, completely in God’s hands. When we surrender our process to Him, our health journey becomes more than a physical pursuit; it becomes a spiritual alignment. This isn’t just about the gym or nutrition; it’s about honoring the body that carries our divine purpose.

Purpose Requires Health
We often say that “health is wealth,” but as believers, there’s a deeper truth: purpose requires health. How can we walk boldly in the calling God has placed on our lives if we don’t have the strength, physically, mentally, and spiritually, to sustain it? God desires for us to prosper in all things, even as our soul prospers (3 John 1:2).
That means He cares not only about our spiritual life but also about the condition of our bodies and minds. To fulfill His purpose fully, we must care for the vessel He entrusted to us. He has already numbered our days, but it’s our responsibility to make those days fruitful. That means choosing nourishment over neglect, movement over excuses, and rest over burnout. When we neglect our health, we risk shortening our ability to serve the purpose God designed for us. Our wellness is not vanity, it’s stewardship.
Mind, Body & Soul Alignment
True wellness isn’t found in a number on the scale or a mirror’s reflection, it’s found in alignment. When our mind, body, and soul walk in harmony with God’s will, we experience peace and clarity:
The mind finds rest when we replace anxious thoughts with truth from His Word.
The body finds strength when we move it out of gratitude, not guilt.
The soul finds joy when we remain rooted in prayer and surrender.

Each part nourishes the other. When one area weakens, the rest follow. Caring for ourselves holistically isn’t selfish, it’s sacred. Submitting our wellness to God doesn’t mean perfection; it means partnership. It’s waking up each day saying, “Lord, give me the strength to show up for You, for my family, and for the woman You created me to be. Help me honor You through how I think, how I move, and how I live.”
Surrendered, Not Striving
This season, I’ve chosen to stop striving and start surrendering. Instead of chasing unrealistic expectations, I’m choosing consistency over intensity, grace over guilt, and faith over frustration. I’m learning that real transformation doesn’t come from willpower alone, it comes from His power within me.
Wellness is not about control; it’s about obedience. It’s about saying, “God, I’ll do my part, and I trust You to do the rest.” Whether I’m preparing a healthy meal, heading to the gym, or simply taking a quiet moment to breathe and pray, I now see it as an offering. My health journey has become a form of worship.

Final Reflection
My Beautiful Souls, I pray this message reminds you that your health is not separate from your faith, it’s part of it. When we take care of our bodies, we honor the Creator who designed them. When we guard our minds and feed our souls with His truth, we align ourselves to live out His purpose with strength and joy. It is the foundation needed to carry out our divine assignments.
True wellness begins where striving ends, and surrender begins. Stay consistent, stay faithful, and always remember: wellness in His will is wellness that lasts. May your body, your mind, and your soul prosper, together and always.
With love and grace,
Laurie B.
